Get Six Pack Abs: sixpackshortcuts.com It’s a workout mantra LOTS of people live by — “NO PAIN, NO GAIN!” You’ve probably heard tons of guys and girls in the gym saying this, and even trainers saying it to motivate their clients. It seems like one of those things that’s said so much, it MUST be true. But is it really? In this video, I’m going to de-construct this myth and show you why more pain does NOT necessarily equal more muscle gain. I show you the type of “pain” or discomfort that IS beneficial, and which shows that you are building muscle. And I show you the types of “pain” that break down and destroy your muscles, and which you must avoid at all costs. I show you… …why you should NOT fight through sharp pains in the gym…and also, the type of pain which is good and which you SHOULD fight through ..how you’ll feel after a solid muscle building workout…and the type of pain that shows that your muscles are broken down excessively, and that they will NOT grow …ever see someone fighting through a “burnout” set of 15 or more reps at the gym? This type of set is REALLY hard, but I show you why it’s not effective for building muscle OR losing fat. I also show you the better (and much LESS painful) type of set you should be doing instead. …how you should feel AFTER a workout. I show you how to tell if it’s normal muscle soreness (which means you’re gaining muscle and doing well) or if it’s “injury pain” that you must NOT fight through. …I also show you how …

Yo Mike! Love your videos & what you have to say. I have a question though, what should I do to find motivation? I’ve been going to the gym on and off, but never regularly. Thankful for answer!
@sixpackshortcuts please answer this so basically if i like do push-ups its treated as cardio and do not build muscle because U said like high rep range doesn’t build muscle because i can do like 10-14 push ups each set.
I first time see mike was this video i was like wtf
Lmao “If you feel pain in the gym your just getting injured”.
hey mike im kind of skinny and i want to get like a six pack and im wondering if i should like gain some weight or just get abs – i weigh about 120 and you could like see my ribs a little, im 13 and im about 5’5 and i dont want crazy muscles and stuff like you no offense!! – PLEASE RESPOND!!
@sixpackshortcuts If you wanted to gain definition instead of being huge would i need to be doing more reps and less weight, so would i want to gain latic acid? Btw nice video thanks alot keep up the good work

@mralexzhao1995 yeah I’d like to go know, I’ve very atheltic and have good muscle defintion and alright mass. I have the 6pack, and I’m pretty cutt, I want to be ripped though. So can I work on getting super ripped while building mass?
Hey Mike, is there a way to gain muscle AND work on your cardio at the same time? Or is it one thing at a time?
LOL at 0.38 i thought he said “today, we are gonna talk about the meth”.
God this channel took a turn for the worse XD
I know people wanna get fit but come on!
69 having sex ;P
Hey Mike, I have been watching all your videos lately, the advice is amazing, and I like your common sense approach. Over the past year and I half I have went from 365-260. I was doing the stairmaster 5 days a week with weight training. Since I have been watching your videos I completely restructured my workouts, and replaced the stairmaster with your m-100 workouts etc. Thanks alot for the all the great advice. When I get to my goal of 240 I am going to order ur full program as a reward!
@yanisa852 cool story BRAH
Thanks for those videos! So if you feel that burn you should do less repetitions but with heavier weight?
Hey everyone be sure to come and checkout my channel and subscribe!!
Well, I kinda disagree though, my rule of working out is so simple, train with an excellent form, 40secs time under tension and short workout (20mins for smaller muscle, 25mins for bigger muscle) If you don’t feel the burn and the pain in your muscle (not your joint) your probably not working out hard enough though. but good advice anyway, everyone has different ways of training to get big.
BEEFCAKE!!!
Y U SO GAY!!!!
Hey Mike,
I just wanna point out and also question about the “Buddy Curls”. Upon watching this video, it seems that “Buddy Curls” wouldn’t work out well since it would likely release lactic acids as well, wouldn’t it? Kind of controversial.
y so gay???????!
@tavo4060 your body is just getting used to lifting – change around your excercises and you should feel aching again.
mike chang im 15 and i wanna purchase your program would it work for me
I wish you was my PE teacher
So, even if you arent sore the next day, will you still gain muscle or strength? Its because i havent been gettng very sore lately, even if i do as much weight as i can i just dont get sore. What should i do?
Thank you so much for this information, you made it a lot more clear to me. Maybe I will take that Cymbalta after all.
